EXTRA CREDIT


If you are interested in bringing your grade up or need to bring your grade up because of a low score you can opt for Extra Credit by doing one of the follow assignments. There is no limit to how many extra credit assignments you can turn in. This extra credit is due by THURSDAY, Dec. 18.
  1. Choose ANY film you'd like (obviously nothing vulgar or inappropriate so please use your best judgement, my suggestion is to keep it G, PG, PG13) watch it, and write a TWO page paper following the directions below. Worth a daily grade of 50 (if your lowest grade is above a 50 then this will add +5 to that grade).
  2. Choose a film playing IN THEATERS and provide proof that you went to see it (ticket stub etc.) and write a THREE page paper following the directions below.Worth a daily grade of 70 (if your lowest grade is above a 70 then this will add +10 to that grade)

Directions for papers: Your paper will basically need to answer the following questions while also providing a brief summary of the film. This Extra Credit is due by Thursday, May 7th.

  • The summary should include the antagonist, protagonist and basic outline of the film. 
  • Did the film hook you within the first ten minutes? Why or why not?
  • Did the film reveal the five elements needed to hook the viewer in the first ten minutes?
  • What were the films five elements?
  • What was the inciting incident?
  • Identify Plot Point I
  • Identify The Midpoint
  • Identify Plot Point II
  • Identify the Climax
  • Did you like the movie?
